CALL FOR SELECTION OF STUDENTS TO STUDY FOR ONE SEMESTER AT THE SAARLAND UNIVERSITY (GERMANY), WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF ERASMUS+ KA171.

 

The Kutaisi International University and the Saarland University (Germany) agreed on the exchange of students and staff in the context of the Erasmus+ KA171 program.

Where to: Saarland University


Period of the stay in the Saarland University: October 2024 to February 2025


What: The selected students will study between 20 and 30 ECTS at the Saarland University School of Computer Science

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS:

Undergraduate Students (BSc in Computer Science)

The application should contain following information about the applicant:

1. Academic record

2. CV in English in the format of EUROPASS CV

3. English certificate: B2 or higher

4. Motivation letter, where the applicant expresses the reasons why she/he wishes to participate in this exchange

5. Other documents and information as deemed necessary by the applicant.

 

 

STUDENTS WITH ADMISSION PRIORITY

 

By the priorities of the Erasmus+ ICM Program, students in any of the following circumstances are particularly encouraged to apply:


1. Students with a scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia.

2. A large family member, according to the recognition of the country of origin.

3. A member of a single parent family.

4. Student who has a disability that is more significant than 33% officially recognized in the country of origin or residence.

5. Student who is a refugee or has a status of internally displaced person (IDPs) in the country of residence.

6. Student who has social exclusion or social emergency.

7. Student who is an orphan.

8. Students working full time.

 

A copy of the corresponding certificate or legal document must be provided certifying the above-mentioned  circumstance.

 


SELECTION CRITERIA


A Selection Committee will consider the following criteria in the selection of all candidates:

1. GPA (up to 5 points when evaluating the candidate);

2. English Certificate (scored as follows: B2-4 points, C1-4,5 points and C2-5 points);

3. Motivation letter (evaluation score: up to 5 points);

4. Applicant’s CV (evaluation score: up to 5 points);

5. Other activities and achievements with proof/documents provided (evaluation score: up to 3 points);

6. The level of German Language through the presentation of the certificate or equivalent accreditation (evaluation score: 5 points). (OPTIONAL)

 

Final selection of students will be carried out by the applicant’s host partner university.
