Mariam Kvirkvia


Deputy Rector for Administrative Affairs at Kutaisi International University

 

Mariam Kvirkvia is a PhD candidate in Law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. She successfully completed a Master’s Program in International and Transnational Law at the highly ranked Chicago-Kent College of Law in the United States.


At various times, she has served as the Head of the Career Development Center at Kutaisi International University (KIU), Joint Project Manager at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in collaboration with the Legal Aid Service of Georgia, a lawyer at the international law firm Metric Law/Tax, a lawyer at the Imereti Destination Management Organization (DMO), and an arbitrator at both the Black Sea International Arbitration Chamber and the Arbitration Chamber of Georgia.


Mariam Kvirkvia is a member of the Georgian Bar Association and a licensed attorney. Her professional activities include advocating for the protection of the universally recognized rights and freedoms of children.


Mariam Kvirkvia has volunteered in the United States, where she led immigration seminars. She is also the author of several academic papers.


Since January 2025, Mariam Kvirkvia has been appointed as the Deputy Rector for Administrative Affairs at Kutaisi International University.
