To promote the development of student life and the educational environment at Kutaisi International University (KIU), applications are now being accepted for the Student Projects Financing Program.
The project can be submitted by a student with active status at the University, a group of students, a student club, or any student association.
Applications will be accepted electronically until December 2, 2024, and must be submitted through online registration only via email at sgp@kiu.edu.ge
The project can be submitted both in English and in Georgian. The amount of budget allocated for one project is no more than 12,500 GEL, including tax (20%). Projects with a co-financing component are welcome.
The program provides funding for the following categories of projects:
• Student Life Support Projects;
• Student Educational Projects;
• Startup Projects by Students.
Criteria
• The working language of the project activities should be English or a combination of English and Georgian, except for foreign language clubs;
• Activities or events should aim to diversify student life at the University and foster an inclusive environment, while enhancing students' academic and professional skills;
• A student may submit a maximum of two projects at any given time, and a project coordinator can be involved in only one project.
Project Submission Procedure:
• Submit a project application that includes information about the initiative group, project objectives, project description and justification, implementation plan and schedule, expected results, and project budget.
• Include resumes of the project coordinator and members of the initiative group.
• Projects can be submitted in either English or Georgian.

Since 2020, the program has supported up to 20 student projects across various areas, aimed at fostering an inclusive university environment, enhancing students' academic and professional skills, and promoting participation in sports, creative, cultural, and research initiatives. The total budget for these implemented projects amounts to 120,000 GEL.
