EuPhO2024 Results are Announced

During July 15-19, 2024, Kutaisi, Georgia hosted the 8th European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO2024) where 256 students from 55 countries competed. The Olympiad consisted of theoretical and experimental examinations. On July 19, Kutaisi International University hosted awards ceremony where winners of the EuPhO2024 were announced.

At EuPhO2024, 28 gold, 48 silver and 61 bronze medals were awarded. 40 contestants were awarded with honorary mention certificates. The threshold scores for awards were minimum 29.6 score for gold, 22.1 for silver, 16.7 for bronze, and 12.3 for honorary mention.

Contestant from Romania Rares-Felix Tudose become the absolute winner (with a score of 43), also becoming the best in experiment. Contestant Alexandru Momoiu from Romania was awarded as best in theory (with a score of 38.4).
