Dr. Habil Alexander Pastukhov studied Computer Science(B.Sc. and M.Sc.) at Volgograd State Technical University, Russia. After receiving his PhD in Computer Science from the Volgograd State Technical University, Russia, he worked there as a lecturer before moving to the field of visual neuroscience at the Plymouth University, UK and Magdeburg University, Germany. He received his “Habilitation” in cognitive psychology at the University of Bamberg where he currently hods a position of “Akademischer Rat” (assistant professor) at the department of of General Psychology and Methodology (see https://alexander-pastukhov.github.io for details).
He is the author of more than 40 publications in peer-reviewed international journal articles, mainly addressing topics of perceptual organization, attention, and decision making.
He developed numerous computer libraries for the visual neuroscience community (see https://alexander-pastukhov.github.io for details). He is a reviewer for numerous scientific journals including Cerebral Cortex, Vision Research, Art & Perception.
