The visit took place as part of the RiHEI project and KIU’s collaboration with the European Universities alliance UNIC. These initiatives are helping introduce innovative approaches at Georgian universities, including: Modernising decision-making through digital data analysis and integrating green and sustainable principles into university infrastructure and research. Transforming universities into hubs for regional economic growth, innovation and social entrepreneurship. The visit gave KIU representatives an opportunity to exchange experiences with their European colleagues, explore approaches to sustainable institutional transformation and further strengthen the university’s international academic partnerships.

The RiHEI project aims to strengthen the role of universities as catalysts for sustainable growth and entrepreneurship in Georgia. It is funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) programme. The consortium is led by the University of Lodz, with European partners including TUM International GmbH and The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg.
