The Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Prof. Dr. Zviad Gabisonia, delivered a public lecture on ‘Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Regulatory Trends’ to students of the KIU Schools of Law and Computer Science.
The lecture took place at univerCity, KIU’s urban space for science and innovation. Mr. Vakhtang Tsagareli, Executive Director/Rector of Kutaisi International University, KIU Chancellor Dr. Levan Kopaliani, Mayor of Kutaisi Mr. Davit Eremeishvili, and other invited guests attended the public lecture.
The Deputy Minister discussed how different countries have approached the regulation of artificial intelligence (AI), exploring the key developments in digital governance and legal technology. Professor Gabisonia focused primarily on EU regulations governing artificial intelligence (AI), international legal instruments, and ethical and regulatory standards.
A Q&A session followed the lecture. Students were particularly interested in AI's practical applications, legal regulation, and the potential impact on the labor market.
