A graduate of School of Computer Science of Kutaisi International University (KIU), Lado Turmanidze has been awarded a scholarship by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to study at Saarland University.
Lado Turmanidze: "I had already made the decision to pursue postgraduate studies in Germany after completing my first academic year. After gaining a solid academic foundation at Kutaisi International University, I was able to accomplishthis goal quickly. I have been able to meet German university admission requirements because KIU's Computer Science programme was developed in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Kutaisi International University provided me with much more than a strong academic foundation. It also gave me the opportunity to secure an internship in Germany. My academic and professional horizons were broadened through these opportunities, and they played a pivotal role in helping me achieve my objectives."
During his studies at KIU, Lado Turmanidze distinguished himself as a high-achieving student through his strong academic performance and active engagement in extracurricular pursuits. Besides studying Computer Science, he also completed a programme in Mathematics.
After successfully completing his third academic year, Lado obtained an Artificial Intelligence internship at a research center in Germany with the support of Kutaisi International University. EPAM Systems currently employs him as a Data Scientist.
Students at Kutaisi International University gain relevant knowledge, practical skills, and international exposure that prepare them to pursue further education at leading institutions and build careers at leading technology companies.
KIU congratulates Lado Turmanidze on these significant accomplishments and wishes him continued success.
