Kutaisi International University (KIU) graduate Zura Kajaia is enrolled in the Master’s programme in Computer Science at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)!

Zura Kajaia: “The academic model of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology is rooted in the German higher education tradition, so I expect KIT to be a familiar academic environment. Having gained a solid foundation at Kutaisi International University, combined with its English-speaking academic environment and ECTS-based system, I was able to navigate the admissions process successfully at several leading European universities without encountering bureaucratic challenges. As a result, I chose to continue my studies at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology."

As a student at KIU, Zura made significant academic and professional progress. He successfully designed a pipelined arithmetic unit for his Bachelor's thesis and published the results on GitHub. He progressed from the position of Java Developer Intern to the position of Junior Software Engineer at the international technology company EPAM Systems.

Zura is also a member of the Georgian Artificial Intelligence Association (GAIA) and is actively engaged in research.During his time as a student assistant at KIU, he supported junior students in the fields of computer architecture and verification. In recognition of his academic performance, he was awarded a state scholarship and the internal scholarship of KIU throughout his undergraduate studies.

KIT is internationally recognised for its strengths in research, technology, and engineering, as well as its close collaboration with industry and extensive international academic opportunities. Academic and research activities at the University cover a wide variety of advanced areas in computer science, including artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, algorithms, software engineering, and computer architecture.

Kutaisi International University (KIU) wishes Zura continued success and professional development.
