The Kutaisi International University (KIU) graduate Giorgi Bakradze is enrolled at Saarland Graduate School of Computer Science, Saarland University, where he will pursue an integrated Master's and doctoral programme in Computer Science.

Established in 2007 with support from the German Federal Government, the programme is based at the Saarland Informatics Campus (SIC), a unique academic and research hub bringing together Saarland University and world-leading research institutions, including the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and the CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security. Research is conducted alongside leading scientists, and students are given access to the Triathlon technology incubator, which provides support for the development of innovative scientific ideas into successful startup companies.

„Choosing Kutaisi International University was one of the best decisions I've made as a prospective student. Through KIU, I have been able to receive a high-quality education here in Georgia, with full financial support and guidance from internationally renowned professors. This has provided a strong foundation for my next professional journey in one of Germany's most prestigious research and scientific environments. I seek to gain deep, fundamental knowledge in an age of artificial intelligence, and to translate that knowledge into innovative ideas and practical solutions, both in Georgia and beyond." says Giorgi.

Giorgi’s academic and research profile stood out at an early stage of his undergraduate studies. He contributed to the organisation of international conferences, including Computability in Europe and ITP (Interactive Theorem Proving), and worked as a research assistant on a joint scientific project focused on formal logic. His third year was spent as a student assistant, sharing his knowledge and experience with junior students. Furthermore, he gained valuable research experience during an internship at the Jülich Research Centre, one of the largest research institutions in Europe.

Together with fellow KIU students, Giorgi also worked at a neuroscience institute on the international research project Tiamat — a notable achievement at undergraduate level that enabled them to contribute directly to an international research initiative.

The Kutaisi International University is committed to providing students with a learning environment that fosters academic and professional development and enables them to realize their potential and convert innovative ideas into meaningful projects. KIU continues to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences they need to pursue their future as researchers, professionals, and innovators.

KIU congratulates Giorgi Bakradze on completing his Bachelor's degree and wishes him continued success in his professional journey!
