Kutaisi International University and the Georgian Mathematical Union Sign a Memorandum of Understanding

Kutaisi International University (KIU) and the Georgian Mathematical Union have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to expand cooperation in the fields of science, research, and education.

 

The Memorandum was signed by Kutaisi International University Executive Director/Rector, Mr. Vakhtang Tsagareli, and the President of the Georgian Mathematical Union, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia and KIU Professor, Dr. Alexandre Meskhi.

 

The partnership aims to advance STEM education and research, strengthen the role of mathematics in contemporary education, deepen academic collaboration, and support the professional development of students and early-career researchers. It will also create new opportunities for research and academic cooperation across the wider scientific community.

 

Under the agreement, the two institutions will collaborate on joint research, educational, and innovation projects; organise international, national, and regional conferences, seminars, workshops, Olympiads, and public lectures; develop joint initiatives with international partners; and promote contemporary mathematical research and its practical applications.

 

The partnership will also support the continued development of the Giorgi Nikoladze Scientific Research Centre at KIU.

 

One of Kutaisi International University's strategic priorities is to advance STEM education and support research in these fields, further strengthening KIU's role within the international academic and scientific community.
