A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between Kutaisi International University (KIU) and the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.
The document was signed by Kutaisi International University Executive Director/Rector, Mr. Vakhtang Tsagareli, and the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Mr. Mikheil Sarjveladze. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of both institutions, including KIU Chancellor, Dr. Levan Kopaliani.
The Memorandum aims to support the professional development of undergraduate students enrolled in KIU’s School of Psychology and Social Sciences by creating opportunities for long-term professional placements.
Under the agreement, the parties have committed to promoting the training and professional development of qualified specialists, recognising practical training as an integral component of higher education. The partnership also aims to strengthen the Ministry's workforce in healthcare and social services.
