Kutaisi International University and the Prosecution Service of Georgia Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Kutaisi International University (KIU) and the Prosecution Service of Georgia have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The document was signed by Kutaisi International University Executive Director/Rector, Mr. Vakhtang Tsagareli, and the Prosecutor General of Georgia, Mr. Giorgi Gvarakidze.

The signing ceremony was attended by KIU Chancellor, Dr. Levan Kopaliani, alongside representatives of the Prosecution Service of Georgia and the University.

Under the Memorandum, both parties will jointly plan and deliver initiatives aimed at enhancing students’ practical experience and expanding their professional opportunities. KIU students will actively engage in youth projects, internship programmes, and thematic competitions organised by the Prosecution Service of Georgia.

Following the signing of the Memorandum, a public lecture was held for students of KIU’s School of Law. The event was opened with welcoming remarks by the KIU Executive Director/Rector, Mr. Vakhtang Tsagareli, and the Prosecutor General of Georgia, Mr. Giorgi Gvarakidze. The lecture was delivered by the Head of the Professional Development Centre of the Prosecution Service of Georgia, Mr. Mirian Megrelishvili, on the topic “The Powers of the Prosecutor in Criminal Proceedings and the Priority Areas of Activity of the Prosecution Service”.

As a part of the visit, the guests also toured KIU’s ultramodern campus, which features unique academic and residential facilities meeting international standards, as well as recreational and leisure spaces.
