Kutaisi International University (KIU) Executive Director/Rector, Mr. Vakhtang Tsagareli participated in the Tbilisi XVI Regional Forum for Sustainable Development.
This Forum included a panel session with Dr. Zviad Gabisonia, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, as the keynote speaker. A session was held on the topic of human capital development as well as the role of education in economic sustainability.
The Deputy Minister spoke about the importance of developing competitive human capital for the country's future progress/growth. Dr. Zviad Gabisonia particularly emphasised the key areas of reform in Georgia’s higher education system aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of universities. KIU Executive Director/Rector, Mr. Vakhtang Tsagareli, also delivered a presentation at the panel session on higher education.
The Tbilisi Regional Forum was established in 2007 as a Local Economic Development (LED) initiative. The Forum serves as a platform for discussing economic, social, environmental, technological, and geopolitical processes.
