Kutaisi International University (KIU) hosted Agency of Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Georgia as part of the events marking World Environment Day.
The experts delivered a public lecture for KIU students, providing an overview of the Agency’s key areas of activity, functions, and projects it has implemented.
At the conclusion of the lecture, Agency experts assessed the background radiation levels across the University grounds using a mobile laboratory, while students had the opportunity to observe its operation in practice.
The event aimed to raise public awareness of environmental issues and matters relating to radiation safety.
