Kutaisi International University’s educational and innovation hub – univerCity – hosted its first public meeting.
The Executive Director/Rector of Kutaisi International University, Mr. Vakhtang Tsagareli, and the Mayor of Kutaisi, Mr. Davit Eremeishvili, met with students of Andria Razmadze Kutaisi Public School No. 41 for Physics and Mathematics.
Mr. Vakhtang Tsagareli introduced the students the international academic programmes of Kutaisi International University and spoke in detail about student life, exchange opportunities, and career development prospects. Particular attention was given to STEM programmes, the university’s ultramodern academic and research infrastructure, student-centred services, and its innovative ecosystem.
As part of the public lecture, the Mayor of Kutaisi, Mr. Davit Eremeishvili, addressed the students on the key directions of the municipality’s youth policy. The Mayor presented a range of educational and social programmes implemented for young people through the financial support and initiative of Kutaisi Municipality.
The meeting was conducted in an interactive format, allowing students to actively participate in an open Q&A session and receive comprehensive answers to their questions.
KIU’s new innovation space, recently opened on Kutaisi’s Central Boulevard, will serve as a regular venue for educational and innovative projects, as well as public lectures. The hub is conceptually aligned with Kutaisi’s historic role as an educational centre and its ongoing mission to strengthen the city’s creative and intellectual life.
