Kutaisi International University (KIU) and the Kutaisi Appeal Court have signed a memorandum of cooperation. The agreement is designed to help students of KIU's School of Law connect their academic studies with real-world legal practice, and to create new opportunities for professional development.
The memorandum was signed by Acting Rector of Kutaisi International University (KIU) and Director of Kutaisi University Campus, Mr. Vakhtang Tsagareli and Chairman of Kutaisi Appeal Court, Mr. Irakli Bondarenko. The event was also attended by KIU Chancellor, Dr. Levan Kopaliani, Head of School of Law, Dr. Devi Khvedeliani, and representatives of the university administration.
Through this partnership, students will be able to put their theoretical knowledge into practice by completing internships at the Kutaisi Appeal Court. A range of joint activities is also planned, including visits to the court, practical seminars, public lectures, and law-focused training sessions. Students will gain first-hand insight into the administration of justice.
Following the signing of the memorandum, the Chairman of the Kutaisi Appeal Court delivered a public lecture to students of KIU's School of Law. Irakli Bondarenko answered students' questions and highlighted plans for future collaboration.
KIU is committed to practical, hands-on learning alongside academic study. This agreement with the Kutaisi Appeal Court gives KIU students a valuable opportunity to gain real experience and to prepare confidently for their future careers.
