Kutaisi International University (KIU) professor, Corresponding Member of National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, Dr. Alexandre Meskhi, has been awarded a medal by the Kazakhstan Mathematical Society for his outstanding contribution to mathematical science.
The award ceremony took place in the city of Shymkent, Kazakhstan, as part of the First Congress of Mathematicians of Kazakhstan. The congress, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the renowned Kazakh mathematician and academician Kalmenov, was attended by approximately 500 scientists from various countries. Among the delegates, Professor Dr. Alexander Meskhi was the only speaker from Georgia.
Over the years, Professor Meskhi has also been awarded Euler Premium for young scientists established by the German Mathematical Society in 2000, and the Prize of the Georgian Mathematical Union. He is also a recipient of the Andria Razmadze Prize of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia.
