Kutaisi International University (KIU) hosted representatives of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau. The visit concluded with the formal signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two parties. The Memorandum was signed by Mr. Vakhtang Tsagareli, Acting Rector of Kutaisi International University and Director of Kutaisi University Campus, and Mr. Giorgi Murvanidze, Head of LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau.
The Memorandum of Cooperation is designed to enhance the alignment of academic and professional spheres through the integration of knowledge and practical expertise, as well as the joint implementation of educational and research projects.
During the visit, a meeting was held with students and members of the university academic staff. Representatives of the Bureau delivered presentations addressing the specific characteristics and current practices of the following expert fields:
- Computer Forensics
- Criminalistics
- Psychological Expertise
Attendees were further informed about current developments, as well as available internship programmes, opportunities to gain practical experience, and prospects for subsequent employment.
