 20/03/2026

Students of Kutaisi International University (KIU), Daria Buchneva and Luka Nakashidze, have successfully completed a study semester at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). The visit was carried out within the framework of a formal exchange agreement between KIU and TUM's Department of Mathematics.

Daria Buchneva and Luka Nakashidze are third-year students of KIU’s English-taught Bachelor’s programme - Mathematics & Applications: Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, Scientific Computing, and Financial Mathematics. Over the course of six months, both students immersed themselves in TUM’s academic environment, engaging with its teaching methodologies and completing four courses: Functional Analysis, Numerical Methods for Differential Equations, Algebra, and Information Theory.

Kutaisi International University (KIU) offers several Bachelor’s programmes, including Mathematics & Applications: Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, Scientific Computing, and Financial Mathematics, which have been developed in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich (TUM), ensuring a high standard of education, contemporary methodologies, and international recognition.

Looking ahead, the strategic partnership between KIU and TUM is set to expand further, with plans including joint research projects, a broader scope of institutional collaboration, and an increasingly diverse range of academic opportunities for Georgian students.

KIU remains firmly committed to acting in the best interest of its students — ensuring that world-class, European-standard education is accessible to them and that their professional and academic growth is supported through innovative and diverse programmes.
