Kutaisi International University (KIU) and the Training Center of Justice of Georgia have signed the Memorandum of Cooperation. Under this new partnership, professional development training programmes for public servants for public servants will be conducted at KIU’s facilities.
The Memorandum was signed by Mr. Vakhtang Tsagareli, Acting Rector of Kutaisi International University and Director of the Kutaisi University Campus, and Ms. Gvantsa Varamashvili, Director of the Training Center of Justice of Georgia.
The partnership aims to strengthen the professional capacities of public sector employees, advance their knowledge and practical skills, and enhance the overall effectiveness of public service. This programme represents an excellent opportunity for public servants to receive high-quality training in a modern and comfortable learning environment.
The programme provides participants with educational resources, offers the sharing of expertise by highly qualified trainers and subject-matter specialists, and utilizes KIU’s existing organisational and infrastructural facilities at its state-of-art campus to support the learning process. The programme will be implemented by the Training Center of Justice of Georgia, with particular focus on retraining public servants employed in institutions across the regions of Imereti, Guria, Semgrelo-Zemo Svaneti, and Racha-Lechkhumi.
As part of the initiative, the first working meeting with representatives from the aforementioned regions has already taken place, during which training needs and future plans were discussed.
The Memorandum also supports the promotion of educational and scientific activities, including through grant-funded projects, in accordance with contemporary standards for the younger generation.
