KIU Students Win in Two Categories at National Youth Competition

The closing ceremony of the youth project “Me, Family, State” was held at the Ilia Chavchavadze National Library of Georgia, where the winners of the competition were formally recognized and awarded.

Students of the School of Law at Kutaisi International University (KIU) secured first place in two nominations: "Best Youth Essay" and „Best Initiative for Parliament and Local Self-Governments”. The winning students received diplomas, while the University was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition for its active participation in the project and for submitting compelling competition materials.

The Ceremony was attended by Ms. Mariam Lashkhi, Director of the Committee of Education, Science and Youth of the Parliament of Georgia; Mr. Vakhtang Baakashvili, Acting Head of the Youth Agency; Dr. Ia Mosashvili, Head of the Quality Assurance Office at KIU; Mr. Devi Khvedeliani, Head of the School of Law at KIU; as well as representatives of diaspora organisations, public figures, and other distinguished guests.

The competition ran over a period of four months and brought together 23 higher education institutions, colleges, youth centres, and diaspora organisations. In total, more than 300 students participated in the project.

The project “Me, Family, State” was implemented on the initiative of the Demographic Renaissance Foundation of Georgia, within the framework of the Youth Agency’s grant competition, and with co-funding from the Tbilisi City Hall.
