Kutaisi International University (KIU) hosted the Hack the Halls hackathon, bringing together nearly 200 young participants. The primary objective of the competition was to generate innovative ideas and develop competitive technology-driven products. After two days of intensive work, participants created approximately 30 projects focused on software solutions and digital platforms.
The first prize was awarded to “Memorunia”, a project developed by KIU students. Second place was claimed by another KIU team with the project “Blueprint Data Tool”, while third place went to “Mathწავლებელი” (literally “Math Teacher”), also created by KIU students.
Additionally, students of Kutaisi International University won special nominations established by the event’s partner companies, GAIA and Reskill Academy.
As part of the event program, participants had the opportunity to attend thematic sessions led by invited experts, focusing on current trends in computer science, technological innovations, and pathways for professional development. Alongside KIU students, the competition also featured young participants from various educational institutions and technology platforms.
The event was organized by GDG Kutaisi and QBIT, with the support of major partner companies including Google, TBC Tech, Reskill Academy, Quantori, and reroDev.
