The successful visit of the KIU delegation to South Korea continues. Vakhtang Tsagareli, Acting Rector of KIU and Director of Kutaisi University Campus, along with Giorgi Pipia, Head of KIU's International Relations Department, visited Incheon National University (South Korea). The visit aims to establish long-term educational, academic, and innovation-based collaboration between Georgia and South Korea.

The KIU delegation met with Incheon National University President Prof. Lee In-jae, Director of External Affairs Strategy Hong Jin-bae and the heads of the Research, Business Foundation, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Centre. The meeting was attended by Tarash Papaskua, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Korea, and Mikheil Tigishvili, Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Korea.

The parties discussed various formats of collaboration, including the implementation of student and academic personnel exchange programs, which will facilitate the strengthening of intercultural education and international academic mobility. Additionally, joint research projects are planned in the fields of technology, innovation, and applied sciences.

Future collaboration will also include joint support for entrepreneurial programs. KIU, together with South Korea's leading industrial and innovation partners, will work in key sectors such as innovation, startup ecosystems, and technology. Strengthening these areas will reinforce KIU's mission to establish itself as an educational, research, and entrepreneurial hub in the region. Remarkably, representatives from Incheon National University will visit KIU on a working visit in the near future.

Incheon National University, located in Songdo International Business District, is the second-largest public university in South Korea. It is particularly renowned for its programs in engineering, science, business, and innovation, and actively participates in Korea's global innovation ecosystem.

The Georgian delegation has already held several significant meetings in South Korea. KIU representatives visited the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ), became acquainted with the operations of Junglim Architecture - one of South Korea's most prominent architectural companies and reached agreement on future collaboration.
