Kutaisi International University (KIU) is preparing to admit a new stream of students for 2021-2022 academic years. Those wishing to enroll at the university must pass the Unified National Examinations.
Applicants can register for the national exams until March 31; they will have the opportunity to make changes to the list of universities and educational programs including the day after the publication of the results of the appeal.
Georgian and foreign entrants will be given the opportunity to choose the preferred field from three English-language undergraduate programs at KIU - Mathematics, Management (Concentrations: Economics and Politics; Finance and Accounting; Operations and Supply Chain Management; Marketing; Strategy and Leadership; Innovation and Entrepreneurship), Computer Science.
KIU is one of the largest universities in the South Caucasus, offering unique campus, infrastructure and curriculum to Georgian and foreign students. Students have the opportunity to live and study in a well-equipped university campus, receive a quality higher education and engage in local and international projects together with Georgian and foreign professors. In addition to the academic and educational process, the students actively participate in various professional clubs, internal competitions and Olympiads. From this month, students participate in the Visual Math Fest competition, which is held with TUM professors, as well as at the KIU Math Winter School.
KIU is a state university funded by the International Charity Foundation “Cartu”. The university also has a special grant program for students, under which the KIU offers them various funding models.
The university collaborates with Technical University of Munich (TUM International GmbH and TUM), the leading European university. KIU's operational model and programs have been developed in partnership with TUM and TUM International GmbH. The Honorary President of the University is Prof. Dr. Wolfgang A. Herrmann, former President of TUM. Tuition at KIU is provided in English and the students are taught by Georgian and European teaching staff.
Kutaisi International University (KIU) is located in Kutaisi, in the environmentally clean area. The campus is spread out on 158 hectares of land and includes the state-of-the-art academic buildings, library, cafeteria, well-equipped sports and road infrastructure, shared workspaces, student dormitories, as well as housing for academic and administrative staff. Currently, the gradual development and construction of the university campus is underway.
The goal of the university is to become an international center of education, science and technology in the region, as a result of which Georgia will occupy a leading position in the international educational and scientific arena.
To establish the first proton therapy center in Georgia, the University is collaborating with the world's leading manufacturer of proton therapy equipment for cancer (IBA). It will be possible to treat cancer with modern methods in the mentioned center. Here, it is planned to carry out research in the field of medicine, as well as to create an experimental base for the areas of elementary particle physics, radiation physics, radio chemistry and biophysics.
The University also actively promotes cultural and educational projects. KIU Photo Contest is held for young photographers with the support of KIU. KIU also established the International Wall Painting Festival - KIU Mural Fest.
