The Acting Rector of Kutaisi International University (KIU), Professor Paata Turava, hosted the Executive Vice President of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Professor Gerhard Kramer, and the President Emeritus of TUM and Honorary President of KIU, Professor Wolfgang A. Herrmann.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the outcomes of their partnership and discussed further expansion of collaboration. Professor Paata Turava expressed his gratitude to the guests for their sustained cooperation. The meeting was also attended by Nikoloz Chkhetiani, Chairperson of the Board of the International Charitable Foundation "Cartu," Levan Kopaliani, Chancellor of KIU, and Vakhtang Tsagareli, Director of Kutaisi University Campus.
The Technical University of Munich (TUM) is the principal strategic partner of Kutaisi International University. KIU's operational model is based on the TUM framework. The majority of Kutaisi International University's academic programs have been developed in partnership with TUM and constitute analogues of the Technical University of Munich's programs. Furthermore, within the framework of this partnership, numerous academic exchange programs are implemented annually for KIU's undergraduate and postgraduate students.
