Givi Miqanadze Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia held a working meeting with Professor Dr. Wolfgang A. Hermann, former President of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Honorary President of Kutaisi International University (KIU).
The Minister expressed his gratitude to Professor Dr. Wolfgang A. Hermann for his exceptional contribution to the development of KIU and underscored the importance of Germany's active involvement in this initiative.
The meeting was also attended by Zviad Gabisonia, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, Professor Paata Turava, Acting Rector of Kutaisi International University, Vakhtang Tsagareli, Director of Kutaisi University Campus, and Nikoloz Beselia, Head of the Ministry's Strategic Development Department.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the university's future development and matters relating to the hadron therapy centre project. Furthermore, they deliberated on the further expansion of academic programs established within the framework of KIU's collaboration with the Technical University of Munich.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Professor Dr. Wolfgang A. Hermann reaffirmed his commitment to deepening existing cooperation in both higher education and scientific research.
