Professor Paata Turava, Acting Rector of Kutaisi International University (KIU), participated in the international conference held at the Georgian National Academy of Sciences entitled "Education and Science in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Innovations, Research and International Collaboration."
The two-day event aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of artificial intelligence's impact on the fields of education and science.
The conference was opened with welcoming remarks by Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs Givi Mikanadze, Academy Director Roin Metreveli, Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Science and Youth Affairs Mariam Lashkhi, and other distinguished guests.
Professor Paata Turava addressed the assembled audience, stating that the integration of artificial intelligence into teaching and research constitutes an integral component of KIU's strategic development of academic programs.
"Kutaisi International University is implementing the project 'Integration of Advanced Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure and International Collaboration into the Computer Science and Mathematics Curriculum.' This project is funded by the Competitive Innovation Fund (CIF) – Innovation, Inclusiveness and Quality for Georgia. Within the framework of this project, numerous training courses and workshops have been planned and conducted, including 'AI Literacy & Prompt Engineering.' Our university possesses a solid foundation for implementing AI-driven research, teaching and innovation, which strengthens existing academic capacity and enhances competitiveness," Professor Paata Turava stated.
The conference brings together Georgian and international experts, facilitating the exchange of international experience, as well as the sharing of information regarding new research findings and discoveries.
