Italian Ambassador Massimiliano D'Antuono's Visit to KIU

Kutaisi International University (KIU) was honored to host the Ambassador of Italy to Georgia, Massimiliano D'Antuono, and a delegation from the Embassy. During the visit, a working meeting was held, attended by KIU's Acting Rector Professor Paata Turava, Chancellor Levan Kopaliani, Head of the School of Architecture, Urban Planning and Design Mariam Bochorishvili, Head of the School of Medicine Irakli Shengelia, the Italian Embassy's Education Attaché Silvana Boriello, and Cultural Attaché Nino Kilosanidze. Professor Paata Turava expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for the collaboration and provided information about the innovations implemented at the university.


The meeting participants discussed the development of KIU's two new programs in Design and Medicine. The Ambassador thanked Kutaisi International University for its work and emphasized the importance of expanding future cooperation.


As part of the visit, the Embassy delegation met with students from KIU's Design and Medicine programs. The Ambassador personally congratulated the first-year students on the beginning of the academic year and wished them success.


The University of Naples Federico II, founded in 1224 with over 90,000 students, represents one of the world's oldest state universities.
