 25/09/2025

The new academic year has commenced at Kutaisi International University (KIU). To mark this occasion, KIU hosted a welcome ceremony for first-year students. The event featured welcoming addresses from Professor Paata Turava, Acting Rector of KIU, and Levan Kopaliani, Chancellor of KIU.

First-year students had the opportunity to meet the heads of KIU's schools, learn about important information regarding programs designed for students, and receive comprehensive answers to questions relevant to their concerns.

It should be noted that Kutaisi International University (KIU) enters the 2025-2026 academic year with impressive innovations and objectives. New educational programs at different academic levels have been added to KIU's academic framework, including undergraduate programs in Design, Psychology, and Law, as well as a single-cycle educational program in Medicine. These programs are led by both Georgian and international professors from leading universities worldwide.

This year, students with the highest academic achievements have once again expressed their desire to pursue English-language undergraduate programs at KIU.

At KIU, students are welcomed by an ecologically pristine environment spanning 163 hectares, an ultra-modern campus, well-appointed residential and academic buildings, contemporary laboratories, and infrastructure tailored to young people's needs. The university offers student project and startup support programs, competitions, academic olympiads, professional clubs, sports and educational activities, scientific seminars, and workshops. KIU provides distinguished students with various scholarships, internships, and international exchange programs.
