Kutaisi International University (KIU) is hosting the International Conference on Algebra, Analysis, and Applications. Alongside Georgian professors, scientists from leading universities and research institutions worldwide are taking part in the event.

The conference was officially opened by Professor Paata Turava, Acting Rector of Kutaisi International University, who emphasized the importance of the conference and noted that such meetings foster the strengthening of scientific collaboration.

The audience was also addressed by Professor Ramaz Botchorishvili, Head of the School of Mathematics at KIU, and Professor Aleksandre Meskhi of the same school. Among the attendees were Levan Kopaliani, KIU Chancellor, Vakhtang Tsagareli, Director of Kutaisi University Campus, representatives of KIU’s schools, students, and other invited guests.

The aim of the international conference is to bring together researchers and professors working in the field of mathematics and to promote new professional connections in both theoretical and applied directions, as well as in engineering and technology. The event is part of the XV International Conference of the Georgian Mathematicians Union, which was held in Batumi over several days.

“The conference provides a unique opportunity for young participants to meet leading experts in the field and establish professional ties. Famous scientists from around the world will present their latest findings in algebra and analysis. Special attention will also be given to applied mathematics, including the challenges posed by artificial intelligence. This event is of great importance not only for the scientific life of the university but also as a strong incentive for young people to engage with the contemporary challenges of mathematical sciences,” said Professor Aleksandre Meskhi, conference organizer, President of the Georgian Mathematicians Union, member of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, and professor at KIU’s School of Mathematics.

As part of the conference program, a campus tour will be organized for international participants to introduce them to Kutaisi International University and the University Campus. Guests will explore cutting-edge campus and laboratories, modern dormitories and academic buildings and infrastructure designed to meet the needs of students, as well as the unique ecosystem of the university. A cultural visit to the Vani Archaeological Museum is also planned.

The international conference at KIU will conclude on September 10.
