Kutaisi International University will host the Central Eurasia Leadership Alliance Academy in August this year.
Rector of the University Alexander Tevzadze and Executive Director of the Central Eurasia Leadership Alliance, former Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the United States, Professor Kadir Toktogulov met with the Mayor of Kutaisi Ioseb Khakhaleishvili.
The Alliance is based in the United States by the “Society of International Business Fellows” (SIBF) and unites the successful leaders in a variety of fields from around the world.
"CELA 15 Academy is planned to be held at Kutaisi International University this year. We had a meeting with the Mayor of Kutaisi regarding organizational issues. This is a very important international event, which will be attended by representatives of leading businesses from the United States, Eurasia, the Middle East and South Asia. The Leadership Academy is an ideal platform where the private businesses, education and the public sector meet and new projects can be discussed.” - said the Rector of Kutaisi International University Alexander Tevzadze.
CELA annually conducts a ten-day Leadership Academy for representatives of member countries. Georgia will host CELA Leadership Academy for the first time.
"This year, for the first time in the history of the Central Eurasia Leadership Alliance, the Leadership Academy will be held in Kutaisi, in particular, at Kutaisi International University. We are glad that it will be implemented here. Representatives of Central Asian countries, as well as Armenia, Azerbaijan and representatives of Georgia itself will take part in the event. In addition, after 10 days, the delegates from the United States, the Middle East and South Asia will be visiting for 3 days. In total, about 200 people will visit the city. The event CELA 15 Academy in Kutaisi will raise awareness of the region and facilitate future cooperation between business partners," - said Kadir Toktogulov, Chairman of the Central Eurasia Leadership Alliance.
CELA Academy envisages the visit of up to 80 delegates from various Central Eurasian countries and the United States to the region. Representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Indonesia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia and other countries will visit Kutaisi.
"This year Kutaisi will host several international forums, including the Eurasia Leadership Alliance. At today's meeting we discussed the plans for future cooperation between Kutaisi and the Alliance as well as the importance of holding of 2021 CELA Academy event in Kutaisi for the development of the region." - said Ioseb Khakhaleishvili.
The mentioned event will promote Georgia and Imereti region and attract investments.
