KIU Master's Program in Finance and Information Management (FIM) students Lana Tchanturidze, Erekle Beridze, Lizi Areshidze and Teimuraz Pkhakadze will attend the SCHOOL ON SUSTAINABLE AI course at the Global Technology School in Shanghai (China).

The school, dedicated to Sustainability in Artificial Intelligence, will be held in Shanghai’s global technology hub from July 21 to August 1.

Its aim is to introduce young researchers to fundamental aspects of AI development and its practical applications in real-world contexts. The course will be led by professors from leading universities around the world. The program includes a combination of theoretical lectures, practical sessions, and work visits to Shanghai’s industrial zones and local technology companies.

As part of the summer school, students will also attend the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), taking place in Shanghai from July 26 to 28. Conference topics will cover AI sustainability, ethical algorithms, reducing environmental impacts of AI systems, the intersection of policy and data management, and AI solutions based on real scenarios.

The study visit of FIM Master's students to China is supported by KIU Visiting Professor Luis Seco (University of Toronto).

The Master’s program in Finance and Information Management (FIM) at KIU was developed by the Technical University of Munich (TUM). The program integrates two rapidly growing and strategically important fields: financial analysis and information systems management.

The FIM Master’s program is led by Professor Rudi Zagst, who is the Chair of Mathematical Finance at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and one of the co-founders of this Master’s program. This two-year program is conducted entirely in English.
