Kutaisi International University (KIU) welcomed applicants and prospective students for a campus tour. The guests were greeted by KIU’s Acting Rector, Professor Paata Turava, who presented the university’s latest developments and plans for the 2025–2026 academic year. He also wished applicants success in the Unified National Exams. The event was also attended by Vakhtang Tsagareli, Director of Kutaisi University Campus.
Participants also met heads of KIU’s academic schools, received in-depth information about KIU’s bachelor’s programs, and toured the university campus. Current KIU students shared their personal experiences and insights with the visitors.
KIU offers European-standard bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs developed in partnership with top universities such as the Technical University of Munich (TUM), University of Naples Federico II, University of Bamberg, and others. Programs are taught in English or bilingual formats by Georgian and international faculty.
New programs introduced this year include: Medical Doctor program and a Bachelor’s in Design – both offered as double-degree programs in collaboration with University of Naples Federico II (Italy); A joint Bachelor’s program in Psychology with the University of Bamberg (Germany).
These programs offer students international diploma recognition and enhanced career prospects.
Located on a 160-hectare ecologically clean campus, KIU features modern academic and residential buildings, advanced laboratories, and youth-centered infrastructure. The university supports student life through startup programs, competitions, Olympiads, academic clubs, seminars, workshops, and more. Scholarships, internships, and exchange opportunities are available to outstanding students.
KIU is the largest charitable mega-project in Georgia’s history. Funded by the Cartu Foundation, established by Bidzina Ivanishvili and his family, the university is supported by a 1 billion euro investment.
