Kutaisi International University (KIU) hosted students from the Chiatura Multifunctional Center who had successfully completed a joint mathematics curriculum in Chiatura. Around 20 graduating students who participated in the program were awarded certificates.
The meeting was opened by the Acting Rector of Kutaisi International University, Professor Paata Turava, who provided the students with an overview of KIU and introduced innovations planned for the upcoming academic year. Natalia Pataridze, Director of the Chiatura Multifunctional Center, also addressed the graduates, presenting the program’s outcomes and highlighting the importance of access to quality education for young people in the region.
In collaboration with the Chiatura Multifunctional Center, Kutaisi International University implemented a specialized mathematics curriculum for high school seniors. A dedicated educational space for university entrants provided students with access to high-quality learning resources and direct engagement with leading academic experts.
The educational process was led by KIU School of Mathematics professors Giorgi Oniani, Tengiz Bokelavadze, and Kakha Chubinidze.
The collaboration between Kutaisi International University and the Chiatura Multifunctional Center has been further strengthened. Under the renewed agreement, the terms set out in the original memorandum remain in force, and KIU will also extend cooperation to the Kutaisi branch of the Chiatura Multifunctional Center.
During the visit, the updated agreement was officially signed by Professor Paata Turava, Acting Rector of KIU, and Natalia Pataridze, Director of the Chiatura Multifunctional Center.
This partnership aims to promote modern technological knowledge, expand innovative educational initiatives across the region, and support the integration of artificial intelligence into both professional and non-formal education.
The Chiatura Multifunctional Center is an officially licensed partner of the global online learning platform Coursera through its AI Nebula Hub initiative.
According to the agreement, KIU students will receive exclusive, completely free access to Coursera programs in the field of artificial intelligence. Through the Nebula AI Hub, students will have the opportunity to gain skills in artificial intelligence, data analysis, machine learning, and other cutting-edge disciplines.
Following the meeting, graduates and invited guests toured Kutaisi University Campus, including its academic, residential, and recreational facilities.
