KIU hosts the International Mathematics Conference "Functions, Models, and Systems"

Kutaisi International University (KIU) is hosting the International Mathematics Conference “Functions, Models, and Systems” for the first time in Georgia. This year’s event brings together mathematics researchers from Georgia, the United States, Great Britain, Germany, and Spain.

The conference was officially opened by Professor Paata Turava, Acting Rector of KIU, and Vakhtang Tsagareli, Director of Kutaisi University Campus and the Kutaisi Hadron Center.

The 2025 conference focuses on the application of functional methods in fields such as module theory, topology, functional analysis, and logic.

The event also features an exhibition of Springer Verlag mathematics books, after which selected publications will be donated to KIU students.

The conference is organized and hosted by the KIU School of Mathematics. The organizing group, along with foreign colleagues, also includes Professor of the School of Mathematics at KIU Aleksandre Meskhi, Assistant Professor of the Schools of Mathematics and Computer Science Giorgi Nadareishvili, and Visiting Professor of the School of Mathematics at KIU Anzor Beridze.

Sessions are attended by students from both the Schools of Mathematics and Computer Science.

Previous editions of the “Functions, Models, and Systems” conference have been held in Spain 3 times, Estonia, and Belgium, this sixth edition marks its debut in Georgia. The conference takes place over five days, from June 9–13.
