Kutaisi International University (KIU) continues student admissions for its interdisciplinary Master's program in Finance and Information Management (FIM).
KIU recently hosted a webinar led by Professor program’s founder and academic head, Professor Rudi Zagst, and renowned guest speaker and program lecturer Professor Luis Seco from the University of Toronto.
During the session, prospective students had the opportunity to gain in-depth insight into the structure and content of the FIM program, ask questions, and meet the academic leadership and faculty. A major focus of the event was the role of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in shaping the future of the finance industry.
Professor Luis Seco highlighted how artificial intelligence is transforming investment strategies and emphasized the growing importance of causal AI in the future of financial analysis.
Professor Rudi Zagst provided an overview of the FIM program’s structure. He introduced the unique Honours Certificate module, which includes soft skills training, a research project, and industry collaboration. As he noted, “AI will not replace finance professionals, but those who use AI will replace those who don’t.”
Current students of the program, Lana Tchanturidze and Zurabi Parkosadze, also shared their personal experiences. Both are currently employed in leading international companies and stressed the practical value and career opportunities the FIM program offers.
The FIM Master's program at Kutaisi International University is delivered in cooperation with one of Europe’s top institutions — the Technical University of Munich (TUM). The curriculum is taught by leading professors from TUM, the University of Toronto, and other prestigious universities. Program supervisor is Prof. Rudi Zagst, Chair of Mathematical Finance at TUM.
