Kutaisi International University (KIU) participated in one of the world’s largest international education exhibitions—NAFSA 2025, held in San Diego, USA. The Georgian delegation was led by the Deputy Ministers of Education, Science and Youth, Baia Kvitsiani and Tamar Ghvamichava.
KIU was represented by its International Relations Manager, Giorgi Pipia, who actively engaged in meetings with international partners organized as part of the exhibition.
Georgia presented the project "Education in Georgia," which brings together both public and private higher education institutions. At the event, Georgian universities not only increased their visibility but also had a unique opportunity to expand international cooperation and connect with potential partners - an effort that contributes to the internationalization of higher education in Georgia.
Visitors to the Education in Georgia booth explored KIU’s academic offerings and dynamic student life. They received comprehensive information about study programs and experienced a virtual tour of KIU’s modern campus through VR goggles.
NAFSA 2025 welcomed nearly 10,000 delegates from over 100 countries. The event aimed to foster connections between educational institutions worldwide and their international partners.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia has been implementing the Education in Georgia initiative since 2016. The program promotes the development of international partnerships among Georgian universities and supports student and faculty mobility in higher education.
