 05/04/2025

Kutaisi International University (KIU) and the Georgian-Italian Education Center “Minerva” have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The document was signed by KIU Rector, Professor Giorgi Khubua, and Minerva Co-President, Mr. Giovanni Giacomantonio.

This partnership sets the stage for the joint implementation of academic and educational initiatives, the organization of conferences and seminars, knowledge and experience exchange, and the development of collaborative research projects - particularly those focused on innovative technologies in education.

Memorandum was formalized during the international conference “Academic Collaboration Between Italy and Georgia: Objectives and Strategies of Internationalization – ACIG 2025,” hosted by Kutaisi International University on April 3–4.

ACIG 2025 was organized by Kutaisi International University, the Georgian-Italian Education Center “Minerva,” and the International Education Center, with the support and engagement of the Embassy of Italy in Georgia.

The conference served as a dynamic platform to strengthen academic ties between Italian and Georgian universities, promote student and faculty exchange programs, and encourage dialogue around innovative solutions to the challenges of internationalization. As part of the event, KIU presented its newly developed MD Program.
