On March 19, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia, Akira Imamura visited Kutaisi International University. During the visit, the Ambassador met with the KIU leadership and gave a public lecture to the students on "Japan after the War: Successes and Challenges", as well as got acquainted with and visited the University campus.
"I am honored to be in the Kutaisi International University campus. I'm the first who gave a public lecture. I discussed the challenges and successes of Japan after the World War II, which I think are interesting and helpful for management and computer science students. I was impressed by the students’ activity.
It is noteworthy that the creation of this university provides a diverse environment in Georgia, showing the great prospects for the future. Japan made heavy investments in its students, which is a key factor in the development of the post-war economy. I think, Georgia will follow this example," - said the Ambassador of Japan.
