KIU Launches Cooperation with the Bavarian Artificial Intelligence (AI) Agency

Kutaisi International University (KIU) and the Bavarian Artificial Intelligence (AI) Agency (BaioSphere, the Bavarian AI network) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The document was signed by KIU Rector, Professor Giorgi Khubua, and BaioSphere Executive Director, Dr. Michael Klimke.

During the meeting, Giorgi Khubua emphasized that strengthening the partnership with the Bavarian side opens up numerous exciting opportunities for KIU students and researchers to implement innovative ideas. According to the Rector, this is another step toward establishing Georgia as a technological hub.

Michael Klimke, for his part, stated that the cooperation with the Georgian side not only strengthens ties between the two countries but also contributes to advancing the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the economic development process.

The memorandum aims to develop joint educational programs in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) between KIU and the Bavarian AI Agency, organize international conferences and symposiums, support research activities, and develop exchange programs for administrative and academic personnel to enhance their qualifications.

The memorandum outlines six years of cooperation and is especially significant in the fields of innovation and technology, facilitating the exchange of best practices between Georgia and Germany.
