Representatives of international media, bloggers, journalists and influencers arrived from the United Arab Emirates visited Kutaisi International University.
An information tour was organized for 200 participants of GET LOST WIZZAIR project. The guests visited one of the largest university cities in the region, toured the KIU campus, residential and academic areas, and works of street art. The guests also met with the University administration and students.
The bloggers’ visit to KIU took place as part of the GET LOST WIZZAIR project. An information tour of such a scale was held in Georgia for the first time. During 4 days Kutaisi hosted 100 journalists, bloggers and Influencers (with spouses) from the United Arab Emirates. They got acquainted with the sights, protected areas and monuments of cultural heritage of the region. After the visit, there are plans to prepare image videos and post them on international media platforms. The project aimed at raising awareness about the Imereti region in the Middle East is the result of cooperation between DMO Imereti and Wizzair Abu Dhabi. Kutaisi International University, National Tourism Administration, Georgian Airports Association, Georgian National Agency of Protected Areas, Vani Archaeological Museum, Kutaisi City Hall Folklore Center – the State Song and Dance Ensemble are involved in the project as partner organizations.
