From July 12 to 17 the second annual university conference was held at the Kutaisi International University. The conference was attended by representatives from the schools of management, computer science and mathematics, as well as invited guests from different countries.
The purpose of the conference was to introduce the public to the research areas of the university, to promote the beginning of a new international cooperation.
Both local and guest professors from Technical University of Munich and Aachen University (Germany), Poland, Austria, Israel, Slovenia, United Arab Emirates and other countries took part in the university conference. About a hundred guests visited the University during the week.
Three sections and three mini-symposiums were held during the conference. The sections included: Computer Science, Economics, Business and Management and Physics and Hadron Therapy. The mini-symposia sessions included: Algebra, Analysis and Mathematics and Biology.
During the conference, a separate day was dedicated to the International Cooperation Forum which included presentations of both existing and future international partners of Kutaisi International University.
The KIU University Conference plays a great role for young scientists who hold teaching and support staff positions at Kutaisi International University as well as for students who are interested in changes, scientific achievements and research in various fields.
The annual KIU conference is one of the important events envisioned in the University’s internationalization strategy, which contributes to the formation of the university as an international scientific and educational hub.
