Kutaisi International University welcomed representatives of the ISET Research Institute. The guests introduced the students and staff of KIU to the research activities and products of the organization. Magda Magradze, Chancellor of KIU attended the meeting. Tamar Sulukhia, Director of ISET Research Institute, spoke about the goals and objectives of the organization. Yaroslava Babich, one of the leading economists of the Institute and the head of the macroeconomic policy direction, spoke about short-term and long-term economic consequences that the ongoing war in Ukraine may have for Georgia and the region as a whole.
In the wrap up of the event, ISET Research Institute Senior Fellow Ana Burduli introduced the university representatives to the Reformer - a platform for assessing the progress of planned and ongoing economic reforms that the ISET Research Institute implements with support from the USAID Economic Management Program. She spoke about the reforms that the Reformer team evaluates and regularly publishes evaluation reports.
After the meeting, the guests visited the ultra-modern campus of Kutaisi University City.
