Program Goals and Objectives
Program Objectives:
The objective of the Bachelor’s Program in Architecture is to educate a new generation of architects who will have the opportunity to receive an education aligned with international standards, enabling them to fully meet the demands of the labor market both in Georgia and abroad, and to contribute to the development of new contemporary trends in architecture and urban planning.
Program Tasks:
• Development of architecture and its related fields in Georgia;
• Education of specialists with high civic awareness and professional ethics;
• Implementation of sustainable and innovative architectural practices;
• Integration of modern technologies and research-based approaches into the learning process.
The program is oriented toward the integrated development of students’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills, fostering creative and critical thinking, as well as developing professional competencies that ensure their successful integration into both local and international labor markets.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge and Understanding:
• Theoretical knowledge and practical integration – The graduate possesses knowledge of architectural history, urban planning, cultural heritage, and various design directions, and is able to apply this knowledge to real projects and challenges.
• Technical and engineering competencies – The graduate has acquired knowledge of construction principles, building materials, physics, and energy-efficient systems, ensuring the technical feasibility of projects.
Skills:
• Spatial and visual thinking – The graduate understands color harmony, composition principles, and spatial design skills, which support the development of architectural and urban project concepts.
• Practical and professional skills – The graduate is capable of preparing architectural projects of various scales and types, performing laboratory/studio work, and using modern digital tools such as CAD/BIM and 3D modeling.
• Creative and critical thinking – The graduate is able to create effective, functional, and sustainable architectural projects through analysis, planning, and the creative process.
• Independent and teamwork abilities – The graduate can work effectively both individually and collaboratively in teams, supported by practical and laboratory assignments included in the curriculum.
Autonomy and Responsibility:
• Professional ethics and civic responsibility – The graduate recognises the importance of continuous professional development and is prepared for further academic or professional stages.
