Professor Devi Khvedeliani


Professor Devi Khvedeliani is the Head of the School of Law at Kutaisi International University. He graduated from LEPL. Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and was awarded the qualification of a lawyer. In 2011, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Georgian Technical University and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Law.

 

Over the years, Devi Khvedeliani has held administrative positions of Vice-Rector and Dean, academic positions of Professor and Associate Professor in various higher educational institutions. He was the head of the Bachelor's and Doctoral programs in Law. He has completed courses to improve his qualifications and trainings in Portugal, Hungary and Poland.

 

In 2011-2017, he was an expert at the National Center for Education Quality Development. In 2019-2020, he was a member and deputy chairman of the Appeals Council of the National Center for Education Quality Development.

 

In 2022-2023, he was the coordinator of the National Clustering Project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.

 

Along with his professional career, Devi Khvedeliani was actively involved in scientific activities. In the research direction, his subject of interest is private international law. Along with scientific articles, he was the first in Georgia to publish a monograph on inheritance relations in private international law and a collection of tasks in private international law, thereby contributing to the research and teaching of this field of law in higher educational institutions.
