Kutaisi International University is committed to fostering a diverse and talented student body. To support our international students, we are proud to offer a range of scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year.

 

The scholarships provide annual tuition fee waivers ranging from 20% to 50% and are granted for one academic year. Students who wish to reapply for waivers for the next academic year, should make a new application in accordance with the provided guidelines.

 


International Students with relevant backgrounds are eligible for the following Scholarships:

 

Outstanding women in STEM: KIU empowers exceptional women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. This scholarship is for incoming female students with outstanding academic record and a strong background in extracurricular activities related to STEM. Additionally, the student must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Mathematics at KIU.

International Scholar: KIU recognizes and rewards academic excellence. This scholarship is awarded to an incoming student who demonstrates exceptional academic achievement, outstanding potential and a strong record of participation in relevant extracurricular activities.

Merit Based Scholarship: KIU celebrates academic achievement and well-rounded individuals. This scholarship is awarded to incoming students with exceptional academic credentials and a strong record of participation in relevant extracurricular activities.

Need Based Scholarship: KIU believes in providing equal educational opportunities for students of all backgrounds and offers need-based scholarships to qualified incoming students with demonstrated financial hardship.

Scholarship for Ukrainian Students: Standing with Ukraine, KIU offers dedicated scholarships for incoming students who are Ukrainian nationals seeking to continue their education at our university.

Community Leader: KIU values students who actively contribute to our vibrant student life. This scholarship is for current international students who demonstrate a strong commitment to community involvement and leadership within KIU.

How To Apply:


Incoming students who wish to be considered for the above-mentioned scholarships must send relevant documents to Apply@kiu.edu.ge. Documents not issued in English or Georgian must be submitted with official notarized translations. In case of incomplete/vague application documents, applicants may be requested to provide additional supporting documentation. The applicant’s performance at the KIU admission interview may also be considered when awarding the scholarships.

 

Please note that students may submit documents and be considered for several scholarships. However, they may only be awarded a tuition fee waiver through one scholarship, from which they are eligible to receive the highest waiver.
