The academic delegation of San Diego State University led by the President Adela De La Torre visited Kutaisi International University. During the visit, the American guests got acquainted with Kutaisi International University, English language programs, met with students, visited the academic and recreational spaces. During the visit, a work meeting was held; the meeting was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli, the Rector of KIU Alexander Tevzadze, the Chancellor Magda Maghradze, the Chairman of the Board of “Cartu” Foundation Nikoloz Chkhetiani and the Project Director of the Foundation Vakhtang Tsagareli. Potential of strategic cooperation was highlighted at the meeting.

At the work meeting we discussed opportunities for cooperation in several areas, including the development of joint projects in undergraduate, graduate and vocational education. The University of San Diego has a number of areas that may be of strategic importance not only to our university but to the country as a whole.
