Kutaisi International University (KIU) has established an Industry Advisory Board

On April 26, Kutaisi International University (KIU) organized the first meeting of the KIU Industry Advisory Board. The meeting was held online and was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli, the Honorary President of Kutaisi International University Professor Wolfgang Herrmann, KIU Rector Alexander Tevzadze, University Chancellor Magda Maghradze and members of the management of TUM International and “Cartu” Foundation.

The aim of the Industry Advisory Board is to support Kutaisi International University - develop as a leading entrepreneurial university in the region, to ensure a successful partnership with the industry and prepare students in accordance with the labor market demands.

The members of the KIU Advisory Board are representatives of such large organizations as: Siemens, Hilti Group, Deloitte DCE, PepDesign, European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS Germany), German Business Association (DWV), Federation of Business Leaders "Women for the Future", Business Association of Georgian (BAG), American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia.

The members of the session became familiar with the mission, goals, role of the Industry Council in the development of the University and agreed on future cooperation.
