At the initiative of the Kutaisi International University (KIU) School of Management, the Podcast Championship (PODCAST Competition Fall 2024) was held at KIU. This championship is one of the university’s most popular and highly anticipated events. The project aims to promote the development of key skills in students, such as idea generation, communication, presentation preparation and delivery, logical thinking, and the ability to draw conclusions by integrating theory with practice.
Nine student speakers from the Bachelor of Management program participated in the 4th season of the championship, each presenting an engaging topic to the jury. The jury members were representatives of the academic and administrative staff of Kutaisi International University. Journalist and actor Dato Liklikadze was also invited as a special guest.
The PODCAST Competition Fall 2024 championship featured three winners. Lasha Giorgi Tsintsadze took first place, Luka Tsartsidze claimed second, and Archil Todua secured third. Additionally, Lasha Giorgi Tsintsadze was named the people's favorite. All participants worked intensively for several weeks to present their projects to the audience. The topics they prepared were diverse, with Lasha Giorgi Tsintsadze's podcast titled “Edelweiss,” Luka Tsartsidze’s titled “A Bite on the World,” and Archil Todua’s titled “The Dolls Are Laughing.”
To ensure the success of the project, student organizational and mentoring groups were formed. The organizational group handled the administrative, logistical, and organizational aspects of the event, while the mentoring group supported the podcast speakers in preparing and delivering their pitches.
Analogues of the podcast championship exist in many countries around the world and are considered one of the best practices, where speakers share their personal, professional, and business experiences and insights with the public, helping to support and inspire the aspirations of others.
